3 Tips For Offering Online Support To Your Customers

If your business operates a website, it’s important that you do everything in your power to ensure that the customers who visit your website have the support they need if and when problems arise online. But despite how important this is, many businesses fail to offer quality online support to those on their website or when other problems are brought up to them through an online medium.

To help you get through any issues in this area that your business might be struggling with, here are three tips for offering online support to your customers.

Get Yourself The Support You Need

Before you can offer your customers the support they need online, you first have to have the IT support that you need.

According to Jonathan Long, a contributor to Entrepreneur.com, if you don’t have the ability to manage your website and other IT needs within your organization, you need to outsource this work to a third-party management system that can fulfill your needs. Ideally, you should work with a company that can offer you round-the-clock help when you need it. Without this, you may run into issues that you can’t fix for yourself or for your customers.

Make Support Easily And Instantly Accessible

The worst thing you can do for your customers when they’re having a hard time is to not be available to help them. Because of this, you should make it your top priority to make finding support easy as well as instantly accessible.

As a part of this, the staff of Inc.com advises that you make yourself accessible by always having someone available to address any complaints or issues your customers might bring up. This can be done by having always having an actual person available to chat with, speak to, or respond accordingly to your customers. By not requiring your customers to deal with automation, you’ll be able to offer them the specific solutions they need.

Improve Your Response Times On Social Media

While your customers might reach out to you through your website when they have simple problems they need to be fixed, many will choose to make their voices heard through social media instead.

In this type of situation, Alyssa Gregory, a contributor to The Balance Small Business, recommends that you do whatever you can to ensure that you respond to their comments in a timely manner. Even if you’re not sure how to best address the problem or would rather just ignore something negative being said about your business, being responsive will prove to be a positive trait for your online support.

If your company needs to be better at offering online support to your customer base, consider using the tips mentioned above to help you achieve this.

What Tools and Materials Will You Need to Mount a TV on a Wall?

There’s nothing worse than mounting a new flat-screen TV only to have it fall off.  Although mounting a TV may seem like an easy task, a lot can go wrong. This is especially if you don’t have the right tools.

If you’re nervous about mounting a TV for the first time, don’t worry. Here we break down how to mount a TV and which tools you need to get the job done.

Dry Wall TV Mounting

If you’re like most people, you will mount a TV on standard drywall. The tools you will need a pretty simple, and you may already have them in your toolkit.

One of the things you will need is a stud finder. This will help you locate where the wood studs are. The next tool you will need to mount a TV is a power drill and bits. A variable speed drill will ensure that you don’t strip the screws.

Don’t have any studs? No problem. Hanging a TV without studs is easy. All you need to do is nail the wall plate onto the drywall and then hang the TV.

Another tool you will need is a level — preferably a 3-foot or 5-foot level. This will ensure that the TV is leveled. Next, you will need a socket wrench and sockets.

You will also need safety goggles. Whenever you work with power tools, wearing safety goggles is crucial. Lastly, you will need a wall mount kit that fits your TV’s dimensions.

Brick Wall TV Mounting

For brick wall TV mounting, you will need the aforementioned tools. Along with those you will need a hammer drill — to get through the brick wall.

Next, you will need carbide-tipped masonry bits. Unlike standard bits, these are strong enough to penetrate brick.

Lastly, you will need a concrete sleeve anchor. This helps fasten the mounting bracket to the brick.

Also, be sure to connect the power cord and cables to the TV before you mount it. Doing this will make it easier to get to the connection panels.

Now that you know how to mount a TV on brick and drywall, let’s talk about how to hide cables.

How to Hide Cables

A pile of cables and cords is an eyesore. Thankfully, you can effortlessly hide them.

One way you can do this is by purchasing a cord cover. These are made to hide cables below your TV. They come in an array of shapes and styles that will fit your home decor. They’re even printable!

Another way you can high unsightly cords is by installing a TV in-wall wiring kit. These allow you to hide wires and cables behind the walls. Not to mention, they are easy to install and are code compliant.

Are You Ready to Mount a TV?

As you can see here, you don’t need to hire a handyman to mount a TV. All you need is a few tools and a helping hand to successfully hang your television.

Who needs sleep?

Collectively we humans know a thing or two about staying alive. As our species continues to flourish on planet Earth our life spans have grown longer and longer; we are now living in an era where the average human will live comfortably into their 70’s, not bad when you consider that no country in the world had an average life expectancy this high only 60 years ago.

We can attribute such an increase in life expectancy to more nutritious and stable food supplies, advancements in medicine, and a better general awareness of what is ‘healthy’ and what is not. Today we are acutely aware of all the dangers hidden in daily life that can negatively affect our health. Fatty foods, refined sugars, and a lack of exercise are well-known causes of an early grave.

Despite a radical surge in awareness of personal health, one piece of the wellbeing puzzle is only now being better understood; sleep. Sleep has a profound effect on our daily lives and our health, from the regulation of hormones to the repair of muscle tissue, sleep is a vital part of not just healthy living, but staying alive in general.

On the path towards a healthier life, the role of nutrition is well understood, but what about sleep? How much do we need? Do we need the most comfortable mattress? Should we even be sleeping on a mattress at all?

Cycles.

The often touted “8 hours of sleep” seems to be fairly accurate for an average adult under the age of 65. During these 8 hours of sleep, our body should hopefully go through several different cycles of slumber. These cycles are still being researched, but we do know that deep sleep, the sleep responsible for repairing cells and rejuvenating us, only occurs for less than thirty percent of the time we are asleep.

To enter into this deep sleep, we need to progress through two stages that relax our body, and if these stages are interrupted, its back to square one. It’s possible to sleep for ten hours and never enter that deep, restorative sleep if that keeps happening, your health could start to deteriorate.

Going deep.

The effects of having no sleep are obvious and downright scary. Fatigue is one of the biggest contributors to death and should be avoided at all costs. So, we need to enter a deep sleep for our bodies and minds to recharge, how do we ensure that this happens?

While we don’t NEED to sleep on a mattress, the support a good quality mattress like this Sealy Posturepedic super king will help you relax into a deep sleep every time. A supportive mattress can help you live a healthier life for sure, but there are many ways of ensuring you get sufficient shut-eye each night.

A balanced diet and regular exercise, what can’t they solve? With boring predictability, a healthy lifestyle is conducive to a good night’s sleep. Avoiding fatty foods, alcohol, and sugar is ideal, but if you can’t shake the junk food, at least abstain two hours before bedtime for a night of uninterrupted sleep.

On the quest for max health, many people will stick like glue to a diet and exercise routine and fall short. Sleep is most often the missing piece, and it’s important that we get enough of it. A good night’s sleep gives you energy and focus, a welcome contrast to the foggy lethargy of uncomfortable, interrupted sleep. Cleaning up your diet and keeping active will help, but for a good night’s sleep every time, get yourself a good quality mattress.

Who needs sleep? We all do, but we rarely get enough of it.

The true cost of owning a home

You are almost there. You have spent years and months saving for a deposit. You have meticulously compared mortgage rates and found the best lender. Your offset account is ready, and you have found your dream home. It’s almost time to sign the dotted line and own your very own piece of this great land.

But should you?

Let’s say, after comparing lenders, you managed to find the best value home loan on the market. Great! You have a clear idea of how much you will be spending on repayments, fees, and other home loan related expenses. Excellent! But are you aware of the hidden costs involved in homeownership?

Some of these hidden expenses could have disastrous effects on your finances if you aren’t ready to handle them as they arise. What hidden expenses? How much money should you put aside? Is there any way to minimize these costs? Let’s have a look at the true cost of owning a home.

If it’s broken, you must fix it.

By far, the biggest hidden expenses of owning a home are repairs and maintenance. Depending on the age and condition of the building, maintenance of a home can be cheap and easy, or it could be a nightmare, an endless pit that sucks your bank account dry. A good example of scheduled maintenance would be a coat of paint to the home’s exterior.

In a location with mild weather, you may only have to repaint your home every ten years, but this could go down to as little as five years if you buy into an area with extreme sun or cold weather. Depending on the size of your home, a few coats of good quality paint could cost a couple of thousand dollars, and that’s if you paint the home yourself.

Painting is an easy task compared to some maintenance, and much cheaper. Significant structural damage could cost you tens of thousands of dollars to repair, and may leave you homeless for months. Owning a home is not all about the monthly repayments; you need to be responsible and prepared for the worst.

Fees and rates.

Other hidden costs surround a home that doesn’t involve water damage or freak accidents. Local councils will charge homeowners fees for holding land in their area; these fees are called rates. These rates are usually calculated on the base value of your land, to ensure all homeowners pay similar rates.

While council rates aren’t going to send you bankrupt, they can be several thousand dollars and must be paid every year. Other hidden fees can arise from your home loan, depending on your lender. If your lender charges you upkeep fees on your home loan, make sure you know them.

Pay for what you use.

If you are used to renting, it’s rare for you to pay for your water usage. This is not the case if you own a home, and if you use a lot of water, your first water bill might come as quite a shock. A homeowner is responsible for the connection of utilities, which may incur one of set up fees. Owning a home isn’t a set and forget investment; it takes lots of money and time to set up correctly.

Owning a home is a big responsibility; big expenses can pop up out of nowhere, and if you are left without a place to live or the ability to make repayments, you could be in big trouble. You have been on a budget for years, saving and planning for your dream home, good work! If you feel like you are ready to take the plunge, make sure you know the hidden costs of owning a home.

Apple products are becoming boring

Ah, Apple, the company that brought us such terms as “smartphone” and “app”. Without Apple’s products, the world would look very different. While Apple can’t lay claim to inventing the microchip, they have a pretty solid claim as the company that brought smart phones and tablet computers to the mainstream.

Yes, the iPhone is now synonymous with smartphones, and yes, ‘iPad’ is now used as a generic term for a tablet PC. Apple took the market by storm and didn’t let up; after years of amazing releases, Apple has truly cemented themselves as leaders in consumer technology.

So what?

Maybe it’s just me, but with each new release, Apple products feel more and more predictable. Yes, they are amazing products, yes they are some of the best products available, but there’s no excitement. I remember seeing people camp overnight for the latest iPhone; now it seems Apple has lost some of its luster.

Same styling

One of my main gripes with Apple products is the styling. Yeah, I know what you are screaming at your screen “Apple products look the best, they have the best materials” Yep, Apple sure knows how to make a premium product, and with famed designers in their stable, it’s easy to appreciate Apple’s subtle design flair.

I mean, it was easy to appreciate a few years ago, now it seems like they are just pumping out the same designs. Look at the new iPhone 11 and tell me it doesn’t look the same as the iPhone 8. Sure, there are subtle upgrades in the design language, but for the layman, most of their products look the same.

Not enough upgrades

From a hardware point of view, Apple is a strange case. Their flagship laptops and devices are loaded with cutting edge technology, and if you tick all the boxes when buying, you are sure to get the fastest machine on the market. What about the entry-level machines? Here’s where apple starts to become a little boring.

There is no “entry-level” when it comes to Apple products. You either get the best one (lots of $$$), or you get the standard one, which is usually slightly underpowered and still costs a lot of money. If you are after bang for your buck, Apple’s line up seems boring compared to other tech companies.

Too many releases

Apple, like many other manufacturers, follows a pretty consistent release schedule. While this is great for consumers saving up their cash for the newest release, it has taken away the excitement of a new release. Gone are the days of huge keynote speeches and fans being whipped into a frenzy, replaced with a few generic TV ads, yawn.

It’s hard to get excited about a new iPhone when there is a new variant released every few months. With strange naming systems, it’s also harder to know where your product sits in Apple’s line up. With 2020 set see another crop of iPhone releases, it’s hard to imagine we will see anything revolutionary.

Apple is one of the greatest companies ever. Their vision and products changed our world forever and the company looks to be in a strong position moving forward. With cash stores that could literally last them a century and a devoted fanbase, Apple isn’t going anywhere. Perhaps the power and stability afforded to them from the success of their products have made Apple feel like they can rest on their laurels.

With a history of groundbreaking products, perhaps I am unfair on Apple. Maybe they can coast on what has worked before, but I hope they don’t. I hope for the day a new release will get me excited because, for now, I think Apple products are boring.

The Challenges and Joys of Restoring a Classic Car

Car restoration is one of the leading hobbies of car enthusiasts. It can be quite an exciting undertaking thanks to the work involved and all that you can learn from it. And aside from the excitement brought about by the process, nothing can compare to the joy you feel from attaining small victories and anticipating the outcome.

Of course, every classic car restoration project is sure to meet certain obstacles. According to a classic car restoration service in Dubai, these hurdles can be caused by the fast turnover of trends, which makes most restoration solutions inaccessible.

As such, if you are thinking of restoring classic vehicles, particularly from the sixties and seventies, expect the following bumps along the way.

1. Finding the right shade of body paint

If you have watched a restoration reality TV show before, then you’re probably already aware that restoring the body paint is one of the trickiest aspects of the job. A lot of old car paint hues are no longer available today. On top of that, very little information is available about the original colors that old cars came in 50 to 60 years ago.

Quite often, restoration experts go through countless trial and error processes just to find the exact color the car originally came in. They study the leftover paint on the body and search online for original pictures of the vehicle in the color that matches the old car’s. This is followed up by mixing colors and making sure that the true shade and finish do not morph under different lights and other conditions.

It truly is a lot of work. Therefore, it’s crucial to find a highly experienced car restoration shop that has the latest equipment or technology just for this single task.

2. Finding authentic replacements

Naturally, if an old vehicle has a lot of broken or missing parts, it can take a while to find authentic replacements. You simply cannot walk up to an auto supply store and find what you need. For expert restorers, this means checking out various online suppliers, reaching out to car collectors, and even scouring through junkyards.

Items like refrigerator door handles, for instance, are incredibly tricky to find; the same is true for old car stereos, steering wheels, and even upholstery materials. In some cases, car restorers have to reach out to original manufacturers for replacements to be specifically made, which automatically raises the cost of the project.

Perhaps the most challenging replacement part to find is a working engine. If you do manage to find one, a lot of work will go into making sure it runs well.

3. Ensuring functionality

If you want a full restoration, getting the vehicle to run like it used to is not going to be easy. Quite often, a newer engine needs to be used, and this naturally affects the way other parts perform.

Also, if restorers do get an old engine to work, it’s essential to come to terms with the limitations it will have. It’s worth noting that old models get replaced because of the necessary improvements to their performance. Therefore, the issues they were known for when they were new on the market decades ago will still be the same issues you’ll face after the restoration.

4. Yes or no to certain upgrades?

If you are not keen on having a full restoration done and wouldn’t mind using more updated integrations for better performance, you still have to decide which areas of improvement to tackle.

Remember, a car is a machine made up of different components. A single car part replacement will have an impact on the way another part functions. So, sit down with your restorers for their helpful insights on how certain upgrades will affect the integrity of the original parts that you wish to maintain.

5. Not having a definite completion date

As mentioned earlier, it isn’t very easy to establish a definite date for the completion of the project. When it comes to classic car restoration, there are always small issues or setbacks that could pop up as you progress from one task to another.

There’s no doubt that making a hobby out of classic car restoration is likely to test one’s patience and determination (and financial capacity, too), but many enthusiasts will agree that seeing the classic car once all the restoration work is completed is one of the best feelings in the world.

For a Love of a Classic

There’s no denying that a classic car restoration project comes hand in hand with unique challenges. However, you cannot ignore the fact that restoring a vintage vehicle is a true labor of love that makes for a fantastic lifetime project. It gives you something beautiful to look forward to.

Regardless of whether you will be using the restored car for your own amusement or you plan to make money off of it by joining car shows, your level of commitment to the restoration will determine how quickly the project can be completed. With substantial funds, a positive outlook, and the steely determination to overcome the hurdles listed above, you can lay eyes on the fruits of your labor sooner — and the success will be that much sweeter.

Top 10 Reasons Why People Secretly Love CNC Machining.

Ever wondered what the hype surrounding CNC machining benefits was all about? Well, that’s what we’re here to explore in this article.

CNC Machining is highly regarded by individuals and businesses in industries related to fabrication and manufacturing- and this turn of events isn’t difficult to fathom. Gaining wide spread popularity in the 21st century, it has come a long way in the minds of those that use it. Now, it is the forefront fabrication technique used all over the world as we know it. This according to

CNC machines come in different shapes and sizes and selection is based on the kind of work to be done (drilling, cutting, molding etc.). Some examples of popularly used CNC machines include drills, lathes, and milling machines. Aside from these, electrical/chemical machining employs techniques like electron beam machining, electrochemical machining, Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) and more- usually with particular kinds of materials.

In this article, we are going to talk about 10 reasons why people swear by and love Computer Numerical Controlled (or CNC) machining.

Material Versatility: Almost any material can be worked on by a CNC machine. All it depends on is the application for which the finished product is intended. Metals include aluminum, brass, copper, steel, titanium, wood, foam, fiberglass, as well as different plastic materials.

Application in manufacturing and parts industries: A bulk of the applications of CNC machines, software, and personnel are channeled straight towards the manufacturing industries like those for vehicles, trucks, large equipment, heavy machinery, agro implements, and things of the sort. Aside from these of course, spare parts for these same industries also collect a large swathe of the share of raw materials.

Barrier of entry: This advantage leans more towards the businesses that render CNC machining services. There is little barrier to entry into the business outside of the financial ones. If you have industry experience, setting up your own shop is not only possible, it is a viable idea.

No other method of production serves this industry as well as CNC machining methods.

Fewer mistakes caused by human error: Because there is a less profound human effort requirement with this method, there is a far smaller propensity for human error to affect production.

Consistency and repeatability: Since machines of equal sized and dimensions are used, results are usually consistent across the board. This ensures uniformity.

Precision and accuracy: The level of precision and accuracy that CNC machines possess in processes like boring, drilling, and grinding- are unmatched by human hands and this serves a major advantage.

Fast production: As a result of all the advantaged mentioned previously, CNC services are able to churn out high quality output at a rate that far outstrips conventional means and methods of production. This means that companies can scale their production to accommodate mass market demand.

Reduction of waste: CNC Machining is a parsimonious, highly resource efficient method of production and this means that less input is needed per part than other methods.

Reduction in operator/labour costs: Fewer actual human hands on deck means that labor costs are highly mitigated.

To conclude, there are many advantages to CNC machining over traditional methods. These advantages result in vast gains with regards to turnover times, labor costs, speed, and reliability in production.
